A Canadian CD has been in the car player for several months. It is a compilation of pieces written by Toronto composer and woodwind wonderkind Andy Ballantyne and it is called the Sum of the Parts. You can check it out at CDBABY. Favourite track:: #6.
Janice's "desert island" CD pick: Miles Davis' album Kind of Blue. There is something new to discover with every listening to this classic recording from 1959.
Janice's favorite CD...hmmm...probably Art Pepper Meets the Rhythm Section. Art's alto playing is SO lyrical and joyous on this recording, which incidentally he knew nothing about until the actual day of the recording itself.
