Jazz Quartet Concert Presentation

Set some favourite classical music gems in dazzling jazz settings … add virtuosic creative jazz artistry…and suddenly a fine collection of Jazzical Jewels is fashioned! 

 Enjoy a performance from the Jazzical Jewels collection!  Well-known Winnipeg jazz saxophonist Janice Finlay combines her formidable talents as a woodwind performer and jazz arranger to create new interpretations of several carefully-chosen classical music selections.  Audiences can expect to hear works from Faure, Gershwin and other great composers presented in ways that maintain the essence of the original composition but also surprise and delight listeners.  

Past performances include the Music & Mavens concert series at the Rady Jewish Community Centre

(February 2010) and the opening concert for the 2009/10 Jazz for Lunch series (October 2009).
